According to the public relations of
weightlifting federation; Hossein Rezazadeh the director of Iran national
weightlifting teams said : the youth national team of Iran went to Thailand
after a long and continue training in suitable preparatory camps provided by
the federation and fortunately achieved the invaluable and prideful
championship title.
He continued : the level of these
competitions was high and 49 countries took part in order to stabilize their
positions. Amongst them Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Korea and Poland
has very close rivalry with us and by relying on god and people`s prayers and the
lifters` efforts we acquired this important and precious title.
Rezazadeh deemend this success as a
result of Mr Afsharzadeh`s generous support and a three year organized
schedule. He said : surely continuiny this procedure Iran will return to his
original position.
He also hoped that young national
team athletes of Iran will be able to defend their 3rd place in
Romania world championship in June 2009 and complete their victories by
obtaining a better title . I believe we have not yet achieved our real position.
We have a great deal of potential and we surely can acquire more precious titles.
The director of Iranian national
teams emphasized on championship titles of Kazakhstan Asian senior and world
youth championships for reaching the London 2010 Olympic games medals : the
whole purpose of this federation is strong and successful appearance in
Guangzhou Asian games and London Olympic games so that we can obtain excellent
results in these two great events.
The first youth championships took
place in Chiang Mai in 2 boys and girls groups of 49 countries. At the end of
these competitions, 1 to 9th positions have gained 2 quotas and 10th
to 16th positions 1 quota for Singapore 2010 youth Olympic games.
